Transcripts, Recommendation and Personal Statement

Incoming Freshmen

Early Action Decision 
Deadline: November 15, 2025

We encourage students to apply by our early deadline of November 15. Doing so will give you priority consideration for admission and financial aid. All Early Action applicants will be eligible to apply for a merit scholarship. Admission decisions will be released on December 19, 2025. 

Merit Scholarship applications will be available later this fall. 

Rolling Admission
Begins November 16, 2025

Applications submitted after November 15 will be reviewed as they are completed. Students will be notified of the admission decision approximately two weeks after submitting a completed application, beginning in January. 

A completed application includes:

  • Your child's personal information and essay
  • Recommendations from a teacher and counselor
  • Your child's transcripts from 6th and 7th grade plus his/her/their 8th grade report card when it is available
  • We encourage you to send the results of any standardized tests (Connecticut Master Tests, Smarter Balanced Assessment results (SBAC testing), IOWA Basic Tests, or any other standardized testing from the past two years.

Transfer Students

Please complete the Authorization to Release Records form and return it to the applicant’s school to request that their transcripts, attendance and discipline records are mailed, emailed, or faxed (203.757.3423) to the Holy Cross Admissions Department.

Upon receipt of the transcript, Mrs. Parks will contact the applicant’s school for a recommendation.

Applicant must complete their personal statement using page 1 of the Transfer Applicant form. Please have the applicant’s school counselor complete page 2 of this form and have it emailed, or faxed (203.757.3423) to the Holy Cross Admissions Department to expedite the process.Only one letter of recommendation from a school counselor is required.

International Students

Holy Cross is pleased to offer admissions to International Students, and encourages you to share the experiences of secondary education, and life, in America. Holy Cross values the rich diversity of cultural experience that international students bring to our institution.

Apply for Financial Aid

Holy Cross High School is a school of choice, and we understand that it requires a sacrifice on the part of our students and their families. We do our best to support our students in making a Holy Cross education a reality. Every year, Holy Cross HIgh School awards over $1,000,000 in financial aid and scholarship. 

The first step is to apply for financial aid. Holy Cross used the FACTS application to determine a family's financial need. The FACTS application is available on October 1, 2025. We encourage families to complete the application as soon as possible. In order to receive a financial award with your Early Action admission decision, please complete your FACTS application no later than November 25, 2025. 

Holy Cross offers monthly interest-free payment plans allowing families to better plan for the cost of a Holy Cross education.
