Crusaders Unite for Annual Day of Service
October 3rd, 2025
On Thursday, October 2, 2025, Holy Cross High School students and faculty united to give back to the community as part of the Homecoming Weekend celebrations. Following a morning mass, everyone participated in a variety of community service projects. Some activities were held on the school campus, while others involved traveling off-campus to assist those in need.
This year, our school community volunteered their time to many local organizations and schools such as: Catholic Academy of Waterbury, St. Vincent DePaul’s Food Pantry, Brass City Harvest, United Way of Waterbury, Children’s Community School, North End Recreational Center, Waterbury Promise, the Waterbury YMCA, the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, Camp Mataucha, Fulton Park, Holy Land, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel and Holy Disciples Catholic School.
This Day of Service reflects the original mission of our school—dedicated to transforming students in both heart and mind. Holy Cross instills in its students a value system rooted in faith, kindness, courage, compassion, and hope.
